The center of attraction of the Hotel Athenaeum is our Patio Courtyard situated inside the hotel it consists of a large open air space with terracotta pavement where one may enjoy an aperitif or dine out "al fresco" in the Summer months. There is a small fountain which cascades down into the patio below by means of an illuminated waterfall. This entire patio area is in a glass enclosure revealing and self reflecting the contemporary design of the building, hence the restaurant name "riflessi" or reflections. Greenery abounds and the presence of so many plants ensures a healthy, fragrant and aromatic ambience whilst dining or enjoying a cocktail. Finally the plants and arbor combine wonderfully to create the effect of a green ceiling, thus making the patio of the Hotel Athenaeum an oasis in the historical heart of Firenze.
